TODAY // DESIGNATED IN-PERSON ELDER. Every Sabbath, we have an Elder available for prayer and to answer questions. Today’s designated in-person Elder is Kirsten.
TODAY // Holy Communion. We partake in the Lord’s Supper monthly. We also practice the Service of Humility (footwashing) four times a year. We recently moved our communion service to the last Sabbath of each month. This is an open communion, which means all believers, regardless of denomination, are welcome to participate.
TODAY // DEEP DIVE. Join us as we take a deeper dive into the book Saying No to God, a fresh perspective on biblical discipleship, encouraging readers to engage in a more dynamic and critical dialogue with God. Deep Dive is open to everyone and meets on the second and fourth Sabbaths of every month after the worship service. A light lunch is provided around 12:30pm, and study begins at 1pm. You can join us remotely via our Zoom Room at 1pm.
MARCH 10–MAY 11 // THE HERITAGE TREE EXHIBIT. The Heritage Tree exhibit is a special collection of memories, poems, and artwork. In collaboration with our partners at The People Concern’s Studio 526 in Skid Row, this exhibit is a dedication to members and artists from our shared communities of Hollywood and Burbank churches.
We invite you to take part in this interactive exhibit by sharing photos, poetry and memories. Talk with either Mae, Michael or Bill if you’re interested in participating. The art will be on view March 10 through May 11. More details and a formal reception date to follow.

MARCH 28 // DEEP DIVE. Today’s after worship bible study won’t be meeting today. Join us next time as we take a deeper dive into the book “Saying No to God,” a fresh perspective on biblical discipleship, encouraging readers to engage in a more dynamic and critical dialogue with God. Deep Dive is open to everyone and meets on the second and fourth Sabbaths of every month after the 11am worship service.

APRIL 10 // TEXTS FOR TRANSFORMATION BOOK CLUB. We'll read through A House on Fire: How Adventist Faith Responds to Race and Racism during the meeting time and discuss key points along the way. APRIL 17 // THE WELL WOMEN’S MINISTRY / When God Doesn’t Make Sense. We all go through seasons of confusion, waiting, or unanswered questions in life. Join The Well and find a safe space to question openly, wrestle honestly, study deeply, and pray intentionally together. Every other Friday at 6:30pm PST on Zoom. ON HOLD // PEACE & JUSTICE MEETINGS. Our monthly conversations are on hold while we re-evaluate how to move on to the next phase of doing justice together in Hollywood. Our time spent in the recent leadership retreat, "Building an Oasis" gave us food for thought to consider in our planning.
